Regular Inspections of Construction Site Power Distributors
Construction site power distributors operate under extreme conditions: moisture, dust, mechanical stress, and changing weather conditions put daily strain on electrical components. To prevent accidents and expensive construction downtime, regular inspections in accordance with local safety standards (such as DIN VDE 0100-600 for initial testing and DIN VDE 0105-100 for periodic testing) are mandatory.
Every temporary power distributor must be electrically tested before its first use on site and after every relocation. This is the only way to ensure that protective devices, such as Residual Current Devices (RCDs), trip reliably in the event of a fault.
