System, Server, and Operating Station Data under Review

BMS servers and associated operating stations (clients) form the heart of the MBE. During maintenance, these hardware and software components must be recorded in detail and checked for operational readiness. This includes IP addresses, network structures, as well as current operating system and software patch levels.

Special attention is paid to system utilization: free storage capacity and server CPU utilization must be documented to prevent bottlenecks. Repeatable protocol sections allow you to clearly map multiple physical or virtual machines in a single document.

A critical aspect of building automation maintenance is data backup. The maintenance protocol records whether the routing of critical alarms (e.g., via email, SMS, or to a higher-level control center) functions correctly. The consistency of trend data and the relevance of schedules for heating, ventilation, and lighting are also verified.

Finally, all detected defects are documented with clear deadlines and responsibilities. Photos of error messages or hardware damage can be integrated directly into the digital protocol. The signatures of both the technician and the operator seal the proper completion of the maintenance work.
